Rick Richter
Senior Partner at Aevitas Creative Management
Richter spent over a decade on Simon & Schuster’s Executive Committee as President, Children’s Book Division, and President of Sales and Distribution, bringing a wide range of publishing and media expertise to his rhis consulting practice.

Richter has recently represented (or co-represented) several NY Times bestsellers including SAFE AND SOUND by Mercury Stardust (a #1 Bookscan bestseller), MAX EINSTEIN by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein, THE BIG BANG THEORY: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series, THE OFFICE - The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s, TOUGH AS THEY COME by Travis Mills and Marcus Brotherton, GETTING BACK TO HAPPY by Marc and Angel Chernoff, I AM ENOUGH by Grace Beyers, and BECOMING MUHAMMAD ALI (by James Patterson and Kwame Alexander). In 2018 Rick served as a consultant to PBS on THE GREAT AMERICAN READ and to several top-tier companies, including Hasbro and HarperCollins. He recently co-represented publishing rights for hit children's properties COCOMELON and BLIPPI in collaboration with United Talent Agency. He also works with the estates of Muhammed Ali, Albert Einstein, and Elvis Presley, bringing their intellectual property to life in books.

Editorial Assistant at Aevitas Creative Management

Caroline Marsiglia is a graduate of Bennington College and joined Richter Media Group as a
reader in 2015. In addition to her role as an editorial assistant, Caroline is the coordinator for
the Kids & Illustration Division at Aevitas Creative Management. Alongside Rick Richter, she co-

Caroline is passionate about books that help us understand the world. She is most interested in
investigative journalism, social issues, memoir, narrative food writing, psychology, and select
self-help, middle-grade, and young adult books by writers traditionally underrepresented in

Sumner Richter
Freelance Researcher

Sumner is a highly motivated and results-driven freelance researcher with extensive experience in data analysis, legal research, and project management. Skilled at developing and executing research strategies, producing concise and accurate summaries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate innovative solutions. Sumner's research has been published in academic and popular history books as well as presented in front of the United Nations Council of Human Rights. He is most interested in freelancing in the fields of history, international relations, and human rights but his extensive experience in legal and political research makes him a valuable asset to any potential project.
